It sounds like you're having trouble entering your foreign address in TurboTax. Here are some steps you can try:   You can file federal (IRS) returns if you or your employer has a non-US address.   Select Foreign Country: In TurboTax Online, go to the section where you enter your mailing address. Look for a drop-down menu labeled "Type of mailing address" and select "Foreign country." This should open additional fields for you to enter your province, postal code, and country    However, there are some restrictions regarding foreign-address returns: IRS regulations require a US bank account to receive your tax refund, and you'll need a US bank account (or credit/debit card with a US billing address) if paying additional federal taxes owed. Like many stateside merchants, we require a US billing address to pay for TurboTax if using a credit or debit card. If you're deducting fees from your refund with the optional Pay With My Refund service, you'll need a US or APO/FPO/DPO address. Reach back out if you meant something else.   TurboTax Community Post

Are you trying to enter a 2023 AGI to e-file 2024?   Say that you did not file 2023, or try using zero as your AGI to e-file.   Meanwhile----why have you not finished 2023 and filed it?  You will be able to access the 2023 return you started by using the exact same account and user ID that you used when you started it.   But you can no longer use online software for any further changes.   When you requested your extension you were supposed to pay your estimated tax due.  Did you enter the payment you made into your tax return?  Go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Estimates and Other Taxes Paid>Other Income Taxes      Start a 2024  return online and enter some personal information  so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.   Online tax preparation and e-filing for 2023 returns is now permanently closed.    Now it is too late to use online software or to e-file. If you have any changes/corrections at all to make to your 2023 return, you now have to complete it using desktop software, which you must download to a full PC or Mac  (not to a mobile device). Then you need to print, sign and mail it.   https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/printers-printing/finish-prior-year-return-started-turbotax-online/L9Oe4M90A_US_en_US?uid=m68tffpe   If you already paid for your online software you can ask customer support for a download of the desktop software.   They are available from 5 a.m. to 9p.m. Pacific time daily   https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/1899263-what-is-the-turbotax-phone-number     If you are getting a refund, there is no penalty for filing late.  If you owe tax due, then file and pay the amount due as shown on the Form 1040, but expect a bill later from the IRS for the penalty and interest you will owe.  Only the IRS will calculate this—TurboTax will not calculate it.     When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s.  Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS/state received the return.   Federal and state returns must be in separate envelopes and they are mailed to different addresses.  Read the mailing instructions that print with your tax return carefully so you mail them to the right addresses.

You can leave the import as it is stated if you want. The problem is the cost basis is usually wrong on the Form 1099-B when ESPP shares are involved, as it usually doesn't consider the income from the discount reported on the W-2 form. So, you may need to adjust the cost basis or you will overstate your capital gain income.

My return is now including a Schedule 1 that lists my 1099-K revenue for personal property sold at a loss at the top like it should, but I’m still getting the review error in the 1099-K section.   I had just manually logged the 1099-K income in the other misc income section and then made a second entry with a negative income value so it netted out (as a work around), but that may not be necessary now.

Whoa! STOP!  You have to do each year separate.  And the Online version is only for 2024 now.   To do a prior year return you have to buy the Desktop program here, https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/past-years-products You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on. If you have a simple return and want to file for free you can fill out the forms by hand. Here are some basic forms….. Here is the IRS 2023 Form 1040 https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040--2023.pdf or if you want bigger type use 1040SR for Seniors, https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s--2023.pdf And 2023 Instructions https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/i1040gi--2023.pdf 2023 Tax and EIC Tables https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/i1040tt--2023.pdf Sch 1 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s1--2023.pdf Sch 2 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s2--2023.pdf Sch 3 : https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-prior/f1040s3--2023.pdf Then when you do file 2024 enter 0 for the 2023 AGI since you are filing 2023 late. You have to print and mail prior year returns. When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state. Important! Mail Federal and State in separate envelopes and mail each year in separate envelopes.
