Yes. I have both the payment coming out of my account and a matching email stating the payment has been scheduled with a receipt number.
Oh, was it for a 2024 payment or a 2023 tax due?  How did you pay it?  It may have gotten applied to the wrong year.
Was it an Estimated payment?  Does your  bank Account or credit card show it coming out?  That is your only proof of payment.
Yes.  Both 1040 files had the same value on line 17.  My 1040X had line 16 in column A from the filed 1040, while column C has the value from line 18 on the newly generated 1040.  Column 17 has the s... See more...
Yes.  Both 1040 files had the same value on line 17.  My 1040X had line 16 in column A from the filed 1040, while column C has the value from line 18 on the newly generated 1040.  Column 17 has the same $950 that they decided was too big a discount on health insurance on both 1040 forms.   I paid tax on (1040X Line 6) A + 950.  With the new 1040, my line 16 went up $42, but since the 1040X is reporting line 18 as taxes due, it thinks I owe $992, instead of the $42 that I should owe (as far as I can tell).   Personally, I don't care if TurboTax uses line 16 or line 18 between the two 1040 forms, but it should be the SAME line!  Since it is listed on 1040X as "Tax", I'd think it would actually be using line 24, "Add lines 22 and 23. This is your total tax".   (Note my line 24 is $42 more on the new 1040 form than the filed but the 1040X says I owe $992.)   Terry

Was supposed to get a refund within 21 days of over $4600, instead after 28 days the IRS sent a notice stating that instead of a refund, we have over $4100 tax due.  We found that TurboTax had listed as "0" the taxable amount of our joint Social Security Benefit.  When I talked to them, they seemed to say that the error was due to my entry.  I have done my own taxes every year using TurboTax and have never has an issue until this year.  Customer Support for this issue has been terrible.  I thought they would at least refund my $249 TurboTax fees, but they did not offer.
I have been fight for my verification code since I filed last month at due time. PLEASE SEND ME MY CODE!!!
I updated my phone number but I see now that it is incorrect.  It should be [phone number removed].  How can I re-edit it to get access to my taxes?

Thanks for your reply and takin time to provide a response to my question.   I agree, there is a note on Maine Schedule 1S worksheet stating the following:   Note that a conversion of benefits from one account to another does not qualify for the pension income deduction. For example, a deduction may not be taken when a taxpayer converts a traditional IRA to a Roth IRA. The taxpayer, in this case, does not receive a retirement or IRA benefit at the time of conversion.   However, this note does not appear to be substantiated in Title 36 of the Maine tax code.  All the other pension deduction exclusions appear in Title 36 of the Maine tax code.  Can anyone show me where in Title 36 of the Maine tax code that states Roth Conversions need to be excluded from Maine pension income deduction?     Also, can anyone explain the last part of the note on Maine Schedule 1S worksheet stating "when a taxpayer converts a traditional IRA to a Roth IRA. The taxpayer, in this case, does not receive a retirement or IRA benefit at the time of conversion"?      Thanks

Yes, Form 3115 can 'catch up' on all of the prior year of missed depreciation.  My prior comment indicates the timing of it (if you did not file an extension, you need to amend 2024 to remove depreciation).   As I said before, go to a good tax professional.  As you are finding out, doing taxes yourself (with DIY software with TurboTax) has resulted in mistakes and may be costing you WAY more than any fees charged by a tax professional.

You will need to review your plan by going to the IRS website for payment plans here.  Scroll down to the section titled "How do I review or revise an existing plan." You will be prompted to log in and should be able to view any payments made to your account.   You can also sign into your Online account with the IRS to view your payments and the balance due.     As far as how long does it take for the IRS to reflect the payments, you would also need to directly reach out to them.  You can check your bank statement as well if you chose to make payments directly from your bank account.
You have to contact your state taxation agency for information about your refund. Search on the Web for Find my Refund for your state.

I suggest putting the number of days the temporary easement was in effect. For example, 365 days. Or less, if it was less. And using zero for personal use days.    The personal use days usually apply to vacation rentals and help with the allocation of expenses and deduction of losses.
