It's unfortunate that we cannot see your screenshot (this ability doesn't seem to be with us this year), because I don't understand your situation.   On your W-2 in box 12 with a code of W, you had $1,020, correct? And you marked every month in 2025 as being on Medicare (or None), correct?   In this case, TurboTax should have told you on a custom screen in the HSA interview that you had excess contributions of $1,020 and asked you what you wanted to do with it. You evidently answered that you wanted to withdraw the excess by the due date of the return, correct?   So TurboTax in this case would add the excess $1,020 back to your income on line 8f on Schedule 1 (1040). So what did I misunderstood something on your part?
I'm having the same issue.  I tried to ignore the error, but am not able to file the return electronically without correcting the error.

Do you remember how long it finally took for your amended return to show up in the IRS system?  I mailed my return (wouldn’t let me e-file) in December and it still says they have no record of it.  But it says it should be in the system in about 3 weeks.  It has been about six weeks since the post office tracking says they received it. My concern is the return final deadline for amending this return (for tax year 2022) is April 15, 2026, so if it is lost or something I may need to send it again before that deadline.

Your California real estate withholding, CA Form 593, has to be entered on both the state and the federal return.   Start with your federal return. (Note: If your TurboTax navigation looks different from what’s described here, learn more).   Select Federal, then Deductions & Credits. On the next screen, select Find tax breaks and answer any following questions until you reach the Your tax breaks screen. Skip this step if you go directly to Let's check for tax breaks. Find Estimates and Other Taxes Paid, then select Start or Revisit next to Income taxes paid. On the next screen, under Other Income Taxes Paid in 2025, select Start next to Withholding not already entered on a W-2 or 1099. Select Yes on the Do you have any tax withholding you haven't entered yet? screen. Enter your real estate withholding information under State Withholdings and select Done when finished. Now proceed to your California state return, filling out any additional information, until you reach the Take a look at California credits and taxes screen. Find the Real Estate and Other Withholding section and select Revisit. Enter your real estate withholding information again. The withholding information will show up on your CA state return on Form 540 line 73 for real estate withholding and not on line 71 as income tax withholding. Please see this updated help article regarding how to enter CA Form 593 real estate withholding:

Thank you for the token. Since you're using TurboTax Desktop, you can fix this using Forms Mode.   Open your return and click the Forms icon in the TurboTax header.  In the list of Forms in My Return on the left, notice that "PPP Loan Stmt" has a red exclamation mark.  Click the form name to open it in the large window.  Scroll down to the Smart Worksheet under 2020 Taxable Year. Uncheck box (1), which should remove the red exclamation mark. Click Step-by-Step in the header to return to the main screens. Now run SmartCheck again to see if the error has been resolved. We tested this fix and were not presented with the PPP Loan question again when clicking Continue at the bottom of the Income Summary page.
Same problem.  Allowing LAN access didn't help on Chrome unfortunately.  Anyone else have any ideas?

Foreign dividends are usually not broken down separately on the 1099 DIV.  The answer is usually disclosed in a supplemental disclosure form that came with your 1099-DIV and Schedule B.    When you report your 1099 DIV and report that a Foreign Tax was paid in Box 7, there will be follow-up screens that ask "Tell us about your foreign dividends," You must enter the amount of Foreign Source Income found in your Schwab supplemental forms. The forms may list a dollar amount or a percentage. If it is a percentage, you must multiply the percentage by the total ordinary dividends to arrive at a dollar amount to report.    When you prepare the section to claim your foreign tax credit, the information will be there when you link the country and select the 1099 DIV where the foreign income is reported.

In previous years I used TurboTax Deluxe desktop to file my taxes. For several years I have had bank stock paying dividends but haven't sold any. It always included the Schedule D. This year the on line version is asking for me to upgrade to Premium for $99 just for this form. Is this correct?
this is so pathetic, I'm going to bet its not ready until March 15th at this point.

If you received a "Success" message but your data hasn't appeared in TurboTax, it is likely due to recent browser security updates regarding Local Network Access.   To fix this you need to allow TurboTax to securely retrieve your data through your browser settings: Locate the View Site Information icon (the "tune" or "lock" icon) on the far left of your address bar, just before the URL. Find Local Network Access in the dropdown menu. Toggle the switch to ON. Refresh the page and attempt your import again. If permissions aren't the issue, one of the following factors may be at play: Brokerage Delays: While most forms arrive by January 31, many brokerages delay Consolidated 1099s (like the 1099-B) until mid-February due to complex reporting requirements. Availability: Your brokerage must specifically "release" the import file to TurboTax. If it isn’t ready, we recommend checking back. Connection Blocks: Active VPNs or aggressive Anti-Virus software can occasionally block the import feature between your bank and TurboTax. Try disabling them temporarily or switching to a different browser. Helpful TurboTax Articles: What if I can't import my 1099? How can I fix my 1099 import issue? How do I import my 1099s? an interesting question! On the 2024 Form 1040, line 24 is the total tax, but in the "Payments section" just below, there can be certain credits like the earned income credit, AOC credit  and the additional child tax credit. line 37 shows the amount owed, including any 2210 penalty. So what do you regard as your tax liability? if you're are being asked that for some Form or Schedule, please provide that information because the answer may not be above.
The update to the desktop version happened over last weekend. You now can enter tips in Box 14 and define this as tips included in W2. This will deduct from the taxable amount

I just started my tax return for my S corp using Turbo Tax Business.  I've done this for years -- perhaps incorrectly.  One of the first question is about "Entities Owned".  For the past couple of years, the S corp has owned publicly traded stock in a portfolio held by Fidelity.  How should I answer the question if the corporation "ownership interest in the following entities" -- one of them being Domestic and Foreign Corporations?

You can confirm that you applied for "Pay with my Refund" in TurboTax by checking your "Order Summary" for a $0 balance. It will also show a "Paid" status. This indicates that fees were deducted from your refund.    To check your order status, you can sign in to your TurboTax account and scroll to Your tax returns & documents in the left panel of your TurboTax screen. Select the current year, and click View order details to confirm your payment method.     You will also see an additional processing fee on your final tax document. Your payment status will indicate "payment complete" because a third-party bank is managing the fee deduction.    You can review your fees in TurboTax online as follows: Go to the left side on your screen under "Tax Home" Go to "Tax Tools" then "Tools" The "Tools Center" Box will pop up Click on "My Fees" to see a summary of your Turbo Tax Fees.   You could also try calling TurboTax Customer Service: Turbo Tax Customer Service  Click here for Can I pay with my refund?   If you have additional information or questions regarding this, please return to Community and we would be glad to help.
