With your 2024 tax return opened, click on the File tab at the top of the desktop program screen.  Then click on the link Print/Save for Your Records.  On the next scree click on the box Save a PDF.  The next screen will have the information for your tax return.  You can choose any of the options to Save or View any form, schedule, information page or worksheet for your tax return.
I need someone to help. I can't pay that much. I make just enough to barely support myself. Being robbed like this will bankrupt me. This is all I have.

My child resides in NJ (I claim them as a dependent and I live in NJ).  They attend a college in NY full time.   Their income on their W2 (from a job in the summer) was $5665 (no federal or state tax withholdings).  They received scholarships that covered all of their tuition and also covered their room and board, which was $7990.  On the 1098-T, Box 5 - Box 1 equals $9557.  They have $814 in "other educational expenses". My questions are: Do they need to file a federal tax return if the amount is under the federal standard deduction? Do they need to file a NJ state tax return? Since I don't receive an education credit for them, would it make more sense for them to file separately (as a non-dependent)?  Is seems like we would save around $250, if I removed them as a dependent and they filed separately.  I just don't understand the implications of doing that (are they now a resident of NY, do they have to pay NY tax AND NJ tax then?) Thanks!

Your messaging system does not allow for attachments only links. I am not able to provide a screen print of: "Print and Mail These Forms to the Government" "Even though you e-filed, you're still required to print and mail these forms." "Don't skip this important step! Your return isn't complete without it." which appears "Filed" module of your application.

Thank you Mike for taking the time to answer my question. Very clear and well noted. Next Year I will skip the Illinois State Tax Form. All the best!
How do I use my desktop turbo tax on my own computer to file taxes for my parents?  I use the same computer for my own taxes so I want a separate file for them?  Thank you.

See the following TurboTax help article for information about how to file an extension:   How do I file an IRS tax extension?   Remember that this is an extension to file your return, but not an extension to pay any taxes owed.  That must still be done by the due date of April 15, 2025.

On your site’s tax status page, it only says “ready to mail” for the refund I’m supposed to receive, even though it’s been well over 21 days. When I check my tax status through the IRS, there’s no record of a submission under my name. Could there be a problem with the system or with my submission?

You can view what you are being charged for in TurboTax by following these steps:   Open or continue your return. On Tax Home, select Start or Continue to enter your return. Select Tax Tools from the menu, and then Tools. A Tools Center box will pop up on your screen. Select My Fees.
