IHSS pay can be taxed and credit claimed on the federal level or it can be excluded from income. If it is excluded, there is no tax so none needs to be withheld. You get to pick which is better for your family. The IRS defines earned income . You can use IHSS income for child tax credit and earned income credit, if you qualify.
If you choose to exclude the income, select it is nontaxable after entry.

What was the amount on Federal Schedule A, for Mortgage Interest?
If it's the same amount that shows up in California, your interest deduction may have been limited.
If you're using TurboTax Desktop, in FORMS mode, go to CA Schedule CA, and make the manual adjustment.
In TurboTax Online, in the interview for CA, look for a screen 'Here's the situations that CA handles differently' and scroll down to 'Home Mortgage Interest Adjustment'.

It is too late to make any withholding adjustments on your 2024 tax return. Any W-4s you give to your employer only affect future paychecks. You can file your tax return without any w-4 forms; you don't need them. For 2025, you have the options below:
W-4P - Complete Form W-4P so your payer can withhold the correct amount of federal income tax from your periodic pension, annuity (including commercial annuities), profit-sharing and stock bonus plan, or individual retirement arrangement (IRA) payments.
W-4V - Complete and give to SSA

No, you should be able to decline it. It's just another way for Intuit to take more of your money. Its not recommended and is not worth it.

The qualified intermediary was involved as needed from the sale of the old property, handled the funds & associated paperwork, and relayed the funds on the purchased of the new investment property. I need to know if Turbotax has the functionality to actually document this. I've entered just about everything I need to enter, but I didn't see an option to document an exchange. It did however calculate the taxes on the gains.
