If your California carryover credit from Form 3804-CR relates to a K-1, TurboTax should flow the carryover automatically if you're importing your prior year return where the K-1 was entered. If you need to enter it manually: 1. Go to the California State Taxes section. 2. Navigate to the Credits area. 3. Find the option to enter carryover credits and select the relevant credit associated with your K-1. 4. Enter the carryover amount as shown on your prior year's Form 3804-CR. Make sure your K-1 details are entered correctly under the income section for accurate carryover tracking.

I inherited an Ira from my mom who died at 90. She was born in 1933. I’m 71 and I was asked what the RDM was for me and I put in $500 just to get to next screen. I withdrew her entire Ira.

To check on regular tax refund status via automated phone, call 800-829-1954.
Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities. There is no rule as to which one will come in first or how long it will be between their arrival in your account.
TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer. “21 days” is not a promise from TurboTax or the IRS.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
https://www.irs.gov/refunds
To track your state refund:
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/track-state-refund/L3jgO8PGs_US_en_US?uid=lt447ebr
If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/refunds-take-longer-others/L14YlqFrH_US_en_US?uid=lexdr7zh
.
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/tax-refund/irs-refund-taking-longer-21-days/L2vRAJbdU_US_en_US?uid=lexe7lst
If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund before early March
https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/help-article/internal-revenue-service/federal-refunds-delayed-due-path-act/L5jnQJsBi_US_en_US
Note: “Accepted” is not the same as “approved”. TurboTax tells you the e-file was accepted if the IRS deems that there is enough information on the return for them to take it in for processing. Only the IRS can approve of the refund, which is a later stage of processing. If the IRS approves your refund they will provide a date for the refund to be issued.
FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE:
https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund
How it works
Where's My Refund shows your refund status:
Return Received – We received your return and are processing it.
Refund Approved – We approved your refund and are preparing to issue it by the date shown.
Refund Sent – We sent the refund to your bank or to you in the mail. It may take 5 days for it to show in your bank account or several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.

I bought health insurance in 2025 on CoveredCA platform and the policy covers my wife & my adult son. I filled out the 1095-A Insurance Exchange form, allocated 0%/0%/0% to my wife and my son claims 100%/100%/100% on his tax return. I'm an LLC owner and want to attach this 1095-A to my business as health insurance expense. But I got the errors: Form 1095-A Insurance Exchange (***) Social Security Number policy allocation for a form 1095A linked to a business, Business Related Premiums Smart Worksheet below, are not supported. I believe this is TurboTax SW not supporting form 8962 attached to a business when sharing the PTC allocation with another tax payer. My questions are: Can I still efile my tax return or I must print out and send the return by Post office? Can I allocate 0%/0%/0% (my wife) and 100%/100%/100% (my son) for the PTC?

Can you explain the "dependent issue?" We cannot see your tax return or the rejection message you are receiving. Is there duplicate use of a dependent's SSN? If so, you either need to print, sign and mail your return or get an IP PIN to e-file.
GET IP pin in order to e-file if your dependent’s SSN was claimed on another return

Did your dependent file their own return and forget to say they can be claimed? Or is there another parent/family member who might have claimed the dependent?

Have you tried entering an offsetting expense equal to the interest entry? That would net to zero and perhaps retain the estate information on your state return.

1. No, an amended return should only be filed after the original is finished processing.
You need to solve the problem with a digital trail.
Send a Secure Message:
Go to the Michigan eServices portal,
select "Individual Income Tax,"
use the "Communicate" option.
Attach your TurboTax "Acceptance" email or screenshot. This will establish you did file a tax return on time.
2. An amended is not new, it is reporting changes. The state can't compare changes without the original.
At some point, you will want to file an amended return to correct your residency and claim a refund.
By marking resident, you paid more tax than required.

Did you ask for help here to fix the AGI rejects? It’s too late for you but this may help someone else or for next year. Try entering 0 for the AGI. The IRS might have processed your return later so the AGI didn't get entered in time. Especially if you mailed it. That works for most people. See, https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/rejections/help/what-if-i-entered-the-correct-agi-and-i-m-still-getting-an-e-file-reject/00/27031 How to correct the AGI in the Online version https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/agi/help/where-do-i-correct-my-agi-in-turbotax-online/00/26311 If you can’t get it to efile you will have to print and mail it. https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/printing/help/how-do-i-print-and-mail-my-return-in-turbotax-online/00/26258 Be sure to attach copies of your W2s and any 1099s that have withholding on them. You have to mail federal and state in separate envelopes because they go to different places. Get a tracking number from the post office when you mail them for proof of filing.
