Initially, I wanted to ask about the availability of a CD for 2024 TurboTax, which brought me to complaint #1.
1) I think I have found out on the Community here (which I love) that Intuit is not offering a CD for TurboTax 2024 - that's right isn't it.
2) And this happens to me every year, I find it almost IMPOSSIBLE to figure out How to Ask a Question on the Community. As I did today, I always find it accidentally. So why is it so hard to figure out how to ask a question (like a "Ask a Question button")?
3) What is going on with Intuit?? ALL I find when I log on there is a bunch of junk (being nice here) about 2023 Tax returns - absolutely nothing about 2024 - absolutely crazy.
- and hard to believe I am a 20+ TurboTax user, customer with these questions,

For 2024 they are only selling the download, no CDs. And if you have a Mac you need Ventura 13 Or newer. And one user posted……. For tax year 2024 it is download only. It will be in store with a code similar to how Microsoft 365 is sold
2024 System Requirements

You can copy the download installation file to a CD and save the License Code somewhere. But I would wait and download it again after you file so it has all the updates.
Even if you bought the CD before you could use the download method to install it. I always bought the CD from Costco. But last year for 2023 I bought the download from Costco online. Installed it real fast. It was the same as the CD. Most of the laptops and computers now don't have a CD drive. And I had to get a new laptop with Windows 10 to run Turbo Tax starting for 2022.

AND...if you are looking for the online software for 2024 tax returns--it is not yet available. Only the desktop software for 2024 has been released. Online may be available within a few weeks--maybe sooner--we do not have a date yet.

Still ever present with help -
Thanks for the verification and the additional instructions for saving TurboTax offline - for us old guys that are having a hard time getting away from the hard copy stuff - but maybe this year, I will make the break (going to have to I guess).
And yes, I also got my TurboTax at Costco last year but want to get started a little earlier this year - to see how far I can go before running into some of those serious IRMAA charges.
Thanks again for always being there.
