Form W-4 is what you use to instruct your employer on how much to withhold from your paycheck for income taxes. Ultimately, how much should be taken will vary based on your income from all sources for the year (including your spouse's income if applicable). Utilizing a withholding calculator is best to guide/estimate how to fill out your W-4. It's best to also revisit these calculators if your income changes throughout the year to adjust/update your withholdings if necessary.
