Compare turbotax business vs turbotax home and business

Totally different.  TT Business is for 1120 Corporation, 1120S Corp, 1065 Partnership or 1041 Estate/Trust returns and will not do your personal 1040 return.   It  is a separate program from the Desktop Home & Business program or the Online Self Employed version.

Home & Business (or Self Employed)  is for personal returns that include a schedule C for self employment or sole proprietor. A single owner LLC would be reported

    Can I use TT business to file personal 1040 returns along with the S corp returns OR do I need to file them separately?

    Meaning, do I need to buy both TT business AND TT home & business and file two separate times?

     

    Pls. clarify ...

      The TurboTax Business edition does not support personal tax returns, Form 1040.

      To complete a personal tax return you would have to use one of the personal editions of TurboTax.  So yes you would have purchase both the Business Editions for completing and filing the Form 1120S and one of the personal editions to complete and file a Form 1040.

        Also Turbo Tax Business is only available as a Windows program and can not be done online or on a Mac.  You can have both  Business and Home & Business (or any personal version) installed on the same computer at the same time.

          I mistakenly upgraded to TT Home & Business, instead of TT Business. Why is their name so similar and confusing with one another? It should be "TT Home & Small Business" vs. "TT Enterprise". How do I get refunded? 

          I recently incorporated a startup that has not generated any revenue, do I still have to file form 1120?
