Can I report what I have paid out of pocket for my sons Insurance premium?
Yes, you can. Health insurance premiums are tax deductible if paid with post-tax dollars. The deduction includes your/your children/ your souse's medical expenses or an individual who could have been your dependent except for exceeding the $4050 income limit.
- Federal Taxes
- Deductions and Credits
- Scroll down to Medical,
select Medical Expenses,
enter the total amount for all medical
insurance premiums that you paid
