My son is a fulltime college student and can be claimed as my dependent for tax year 2016. He did receive a 1098-T and was also working as such received a W2. Do I claim the 1098-T deduction on my taxes ? As such my son wont be entering the 1098T info in

Yes, since you are claiming your son as a dependent on your return then you would claim the 1098-T on your tax return. If you son files a tax return he would NOT enter the 1098-T on his tax return and he would also need to indicate that someone is claiming him as a dependent on his tax return.

Yes, since you are claiming your son as a dependent on your return then you would claim the 1098-T on your tax return. If you son files a tax return he would NOT enter the 1098-T on his tax return and he would also need to indicate that someone is claiming him as a dependent on his tax return.
