Did you enter the schools EIN? If not, then you need to and if that is the only issue you would then be able to claim the credit. This is found on your 1098-T.

A. Its a new rule. It's only problem with foreign schools. All U.S. schools have a FEIN.

I did not include details I received on a 1099-Q form for payments from qualified educational programs. This has no impact on my tax liability. Should I amend?
