Where do i add education expenses on my tax return

You'll add the education expenses by clicking on the Federal Taxes tab, then Deductions & Credits, then scroll down to Education and select Expenses & Scholarships (Form 1098-T).  Then follow the prompts.

The fact you live in Texas has no bearing on the federal education benefits.
