What is the federal ID number for 1098-T?

The federal ID number/EIN will vary by institution. Each higher institution has it's own EIN. The institution's EIN will be in the box directly underneath its address on your From 1098-T.

The federal ID number is called "FILER’S employer identification no" on the actual form 1098-T
