You would need to enter each 1098 separately in to the program.

  1. With your return open in TurboTax, search for “1098” in the search box and then click the "Jump to" link in the search results.
If you do not see a "jump to" link - instead, once inside your return, go to the top right corner and click My Account > Tools > Topic Search > type 1098 > GO
  2. Answer Yes to Did you pay any home loans in 2016?
  3. Type in the name of your mortgage company on the Enter your mortgage lender screen. Click Continue.
  4. Make your selection on the Do any of these uncommon situations apply? screen, then click Continue.
  5. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter the rest of the information on your first 1098 form.
  6. After you've addressed all entries for the first 1098, you will land on a Mortgage deduction summary screen
  7. Click the button to Add a lender to enter your second 1098.

What kind of 1098? There are different versions of this form (ex: 1098-E, 1098-T, etc). Also, have you already submitted your tax returns?

What if i have another 1098

I bought a house in 12/2014 and had paid on my mortgage to the company that I had set it up with, but on it, it says Substitute form 1098, then I got another 1098 from the bank I had got the loan from. So I have 2 1098 forms, Do I add both on or do I just use the one from the bank, no I have not submitted my tax returns yet
