Box 14 is usually only informational and seldom is used by TurboTax to calculate anything. It may be taxable fringe benefits or misc.items.

Common items are:
-non-deductible retirement (your case)
-United way or other charities (Deductible as an itemized deduction)
-union dues (deductible as a job expense)
-insurance premiums
-voluntary after tax pension payments
-Company car imputed income (already included in box 1 of the W-2)

Nothing will be entered on your tax forms unless you manually designate a “Tax category” from the TT pull down list for the amount shown in box 14. The employers code/description will not prompt TT to enter anything.
