What about a full time student credit for college
You could qualify for the American Opportunity credit or the Lifetime Learning Credit if you paid the education expenses for an eligible student.
To claim the expenses on your return please follow the steps below:
- Log in to your account.
- Go to Federal Taxes.
- Go to Deductions and Credits.
- Scroll down to Education.
- Click show more next to Scholarships, Student Loans, Tuition (1098-E and 1098-T)
- Click Start next to Expenses and scholarships (form 1098-T).
