I have followed the instructions for entering the EIN and the rest of the 1098-T, just as I have done in years past. However, TurboTax Deluxe 2019 this year is saying that I do not qualify for the American Opportunity Credit because "Education Institution Employer ID Number (EIN) not entered." I have checked my work several times. I have entered the EIN listed on the 1098-T for my daughter's school for the last three years.
Why is this still saying we do not qualify for the AOC? Is this a software bug? Any thoughts?

To enter EIN on the 1098-t follow these directions;
I followed those steps and it continues to say no "education institution id number" has been entered.

I finally decided something must have been corrupted. So I deleted the student and then re-entered all the data. It worked as expected after that.
When I enter the education institution employer ID number (EIN) it continues to say that it is not entered. How do I fix this?
