Her refund would not be held in normal circumstances but will be based on what she entered. After she receives her refund, she needs to amend.
If your sister filed the 1098-T for another year in your tax return, she should wait to see if her return is rejected or accepted. If rejected, she can correct any other errors and change the information on the 1098-T to the correct year. If her return is accepted by the IRS, she'll need to amend her return. Please note that the amended form will only be available around mid-February.

@MinhT1 is it possible that her refund will be held? That would really stress her out, I'm hoping she can just amend it.
