If I started university orientation on August 15 and classes started on August 29. Should I consider myself a "full time student" for tax purposes?

Yes. Even one day in a month counts as a whole month. As long as you were full time for some part of five months, you are considered full time.

I live in a foreign country but work for a university in California. I visited California for 38 days in 2024. It is not clearing in TurboT Help!
