Education Expenses

I have two dependents in college.  With one, the list of non-tuition expenses includes other categories, including room and board, computer, and software and internet services.  With the other, all is lists "Required books" and "Optional Books", and not the other categories.  And I cannot figure out how to enter those expenses.  The only differences between the is that the former received a partial scholarship and the latter did not.

Education Expenses

You don't get the room & board screen unless you previously entered a 1099-Q for that student, because  room & board are only qualified expenses for a 529/ESA plan distribution/withdrawal.

Otherwise, include computer, software and internet services  in  Required books or Optional Books.
