Can I report tuition payment for New York State even thought it was a grant?
There is a section that says I can report my tuition cost for New York if I went to school but it was a grant that payed for the tuition and not me. Should I still report that as money payed for school?

You cannot claim a deduction or credit for education expenses that were paid for or reimbursed by a grant or scholarship.
