Can I claim my son's private school tuition and uniform expenses on my taxes?

My son goes to a charter school where I pay tuition twice a year and I have to purchase uniforms from the school. Can I claim these expenses?

Education expenses for grades K-12 are not deductible on a federal tax return.  Some states may allow this deduction and the state interview will cover this if your state allows this deduction.
