Here are some of my details:
1. Boxes 1 and 2 are empty on my 2018 1098-T.
2. Box 1 is empty, 2 is filled out on my 2017 1098-T. Box 7 is checked.
3. I did not file taxes in 2017. My parents don't file taxes because they are non-US citizens living outside the US.
4. I graduated in May 2018.
Then for my tax returns this year, in box 1, should I do the "what if this is not what I paid to this school?' and enter the amount that's in box 2 of the 2017 1098-T?
Thank you in advance!
