My college student child is our dependent. We are claiming the education credit on our parent taxes.
I am working on the child's tax return in the state or Arkansas. Somehow TT transferred the adjusted qualified expenses from the Student Info Worksheet (adjusted after deducting money used for non-qualified expenses of room and board).
I clicked on the box that said "Check this box to not claim the tuition deduction for this individual", and the child's name, SSN, and the Tuition Paid all went blank.
Is this correct?

Correct. A dependent only claims income from scholarships if taxable. There would be no expenses related to education on the student's return. The 1098-T is on the parent's return, not the student.
