529 for non dependent with no distributions

I fund a Maryland 529 plan for a non-dependent who is not currently in College. Therefore, we do not receive a 1099-q form since there has been no distributions. How can I enter my 529 distributions for a non dependent without a 1099-q?

"there has been no distributions"
contradicts with
"How can I enter my 529 distributions"

There is no deduction for a 529 plan contribution, on the federal return. The tax benefits come later when the money is withdrawn. So, a contribution is not entered in the federal section of TurboTax.

Most states do have a deduction for putting money into some 529 plans. If your state is one of them, it will come up during the state interview. For a list see:

I see that section for my dependent but I also contributed money for a nondependent. There is only space for one single entry for the dependent
