Computer depreciation selfemployed business but no business income this year

I have been depreciating computing equipment in 2014 & 2015, while I also had business income (80% business use). However in 2016, I did not have any business income. Can I still deduct another year of depreciation, or only when you have at least XX amount of business income?

FYI, the total deduction amount was only $418 in 2015, so if it will raise lots of questions/concerns at IRS, it might be worthwhile to skip it.

Yes, as long as your business is a going-concern (you haven't stopped doing business), you may report your depreciation expense, even though you had no income for the year.
