I'm trying to finalize my 2024 tax return. I use TurboTax Premier software on my PC. I imported data from my broker earlier this year, but in reviewing it I see that the software didn't download all of the stock transactions. For three accounts, it only downloaded the interest and dividend information. I tried to import the data this evening, but I am getting the message: "No documents currently available for import. According to (brokerage firm), documents will be ready for import on following dates..." It then lists 1099-B, etc. being available Feb 14, 2026. But that will be for the 2025 tax year! And I am trying to get the transactions for the 2024 tax year.
I spoke with my brokerage firm, and they told me that the data is there and available and that I needed to contact/work with TurboTax to download the data.
I tried to download other financial institutions also, and I'm getting the same message with my bank and other brokerages, e.g."no documents currently available for import". I would think you should be able to download/import data through the end of the year. Can anyone help?

Financial institutions have removed 2024 data for import into tax software now---it is too late---we are in mid-November and you should have taken care of importing that data before now. You can get the information from the financial institution's website and key it in by hand now; you might have to enter summary information instead of individual transactions.

I did import the data previously. I just failed to review it and see that the software screwed up on some of the accounts and didn't download everything. 😣
Thank you for replying. I'll give up trying and just enter summaries for everything. I don't want to enter 500+ transactions manually -- been there, done late decades ago!
Lesson learned to review things once downloaded. I appreciate your taking the time to respond to my question. Thanks again.
