When I pull up Schedule SE to see how the SE Tax included on 1040 line 23 was computed I see a form that is virtually blank, except for one entry under part II "Farm Optional Method" line 14 for $5800. I am not a farm though.
There are no entries in Part I. The Schedule SE Adjustments Worksheet shows a Nonfarm Profit or (Loss) amount on line 1a and line 8 which is correct and should show up on Schedule SE, line 2 but that line is blank. What is going on? Does this need to be corrected manually?
The TurboTax error checking found no errors in the return and I am about to file. Now I am wondering if TT calculated the SE tax correctly.

The entries on the Schedule SE Line 7 and on Line 14 are maximum amounts prefilled on the schedule based on the tax code.
If there is not an entry on the Schedule SE Line 12 then there are no Self-Employment taxes being assessed.
If you have a Net loss on your Schedule C then you do not pay self-employment taxes.
My schedule C is showing net profit of $152,000 on line 31 so I know I owe SE taxes. And that amount is showing on line 1a of the SE Adjustment Worksheet and also Part II line 8 which should flow through to Schedule SE, line 2. This looks like a TurboTax bug.

Your net profit from Schedule C should be on Line 2 of the Schedule SE. If it is on Line 1a that is Net farm profit or (loss) from Schedule F, line 34, and farm partnerships, Schedule K-1 (Form 1065), box 14, code A.
There is no Part II Line 8 on a Schedule SE.
The only amount that flows to Schedule 2 Line 4 is from the Schedule SE Line 12.
Talked to TT support. Turns out there are TWO Schedule SE's used in the program. The form that TurboTax pulled up when I used the search bar inside Open Forms and searched for "Schedule SE" was a form Sch SE-S. This was the form I was looking at it. The ACTUAL form used for filing purposes is apparently Sch SE-T. This form was correctly populated. Problem solved. I still find it very odd that there are TWO form SE's in the program and only one is the correct one!
@ETFtrader That makes sense. Glad you got this resolved.
When filing the return as Married Filing Jointly and a Schedule C is completed the program automatically creates two Schedule SE's one for the taxpayer (first name on the return) SE-T and one for the spouse SE-S
