Schedule c form 1099misc

The only version of TurboTax Online capable of handling self-employment income and expenses is Self-Employed.

If you choose not to upgrade, you will not be able to report your 1099-MISC income or expenses.

Should you fail to report that income, the IRS will write you a letter demanding tax on the full amount of the 1099, plus interest. At that point you will need to download software to complete a 2016 return, if the letter arrives after October. TurboTax Online only has the current year software.
