unrecaptured section 1250

Your unrecaptured section 1250 gain will be the lesser of the following amounts:

- your gross profit on the property
- the amount of depreciation you took on the property

 

Given that I did a 1031 exchange on a rental property, should I use the depreciation for 2021 ONLY or all Depreciations of all the years past?

unrecaptured section 1250

all depreciation taken. with a 1031 there is no recapture unless boot is involved.
