Forms Mode (on the worksheet). Look at the screenshot below.
OK, here it goes;
Those of you who have the payments for the non-taxable medicaid payments,
1, enter the w2 as usual, then select continue until you come to "Lets check for uncommon situations" page
2. click on the "Nontaxable Medicaid Waiver Payments that qualify as difficulty of care payments" box
3. Turbo tax will take care of the rest to remove it from your income and make the entries on Sch 1
For those of you with a 1099-Misc for the same payment instead of a w2;
1. enter it as usual in the 1099-Misc entry point, click continue until you come to the special situations page and click the same named box, results are the same as above
for those of you with fire payments from CA for the fire payments, enter the 1099-Misc as usual in the 1099-Misc entry point.
1. Fill out the payer part and then enter the amount in box 3.
2. click continue, in the Description box enter"CA Fire Payment"
3. click continue to the special situations page
4. click the button for "This was a wildfire relief payment from a state or federal goverment" Button
