I bought Turbotax because I prefer to do my own taxes and with the ability to import even the the more complicated of the brokerage account data I was able to do that. It all worked fine last year. This year only one out of four accounts related to one specific investment firm will download. Two of the three that won't download won't do it because I don't even get the boxes (fields) to type in the investor ID and password. The other one (one of two accounts from the same broker) gives me the "blip" and no error message. I am confused as to why only ONE of our four downloads from Thrivent would be ready at this late date. (And, by the way, I read on this forum that Turbotax lets us know when they are ready to import. HOW?? WHERE??) This makes it virtually impossible to do my taxes using Turbotax, and now I am stuck. My copy of the product has been registered and used, so I can't get a refund. Sure, I could shell out ANOTHER 60 bucks and get the professional tax advice inside of my desktop version of Turbotax and, theoretically at least, get some guidance, but that would still require me typing in by hand massive amounts of data. I thought I had run across an option of somehow importing a pdf for something (maybe it was a W-2). Could that work to input an 18-page tax reporting statement from Thrivent/National Financial Services? I don't suppose it would be possible to MAKE that an option...

Not sure why you are unable to import only some brokerage accounts and not others. Consider reporting summary information as explained below.
When I download information into TurboTax Premium Online from my financial institution, I arrive at the screen Got it. Here are your forms.
At the bottom of the screen, select the hyperlink Learn more and the document What's auto-import opens. The document explains how and when you are sent an email when your financial institution information is available.
You may enter the summary information instead of each individual transaction. Create a .PDF of the IRS form 1099-B or IRS Schedule 8949 to upload into TurboTax Online. Follow these steps.
