No Schedule C this yr but TT created 8995 anyway - is that correct?

I have an LLC that has just been starting up for a couple of years and had no income or expenses this year (but did have expenses and no income first 2 yrs) . I have confirmed I don't need to file a schedule C if no income or expenses and was getting ready to file my TT returns and I noticed it generated an 8995 form (Qualified Business Income Deduction) with the loss amount from last 2 yrs carried over.  Just want to confirm my return should include an 8995 form if no Schedule C this year.

I called the IRS and she transferred me to the dept for Schedule C questions which informed me there are no agents to answer these questions and to look on line for help.  Arrggggh.

Thank you very much in advance.

Yes, Form 8995 should be in your return to report the QBI loss carryover.  When your business starts reporting a profit, the QBI loss carryover will be applied to your QBI income (business profit) in order to calculate your QBI deduction for the year.  If in the first year you report profit, the profit doesn't exceed the QBI loss carryover, you will not have a QBI deduction, but the loss carryover will be reduced.
