Box 1 on Schedule K-1 (Form 1065 or 1120S) reports Ordinary Business Income (Loss). Enter the amount as is appears. If negative, enter the number with a leading dash ("-"), not in parentheses.

Interest Income appears in Box 5; a negative number in this box would be highly unlikely.
