IRS told us, he would not get the $1200 . I did by check. Told his would be a credit on 2020 taxes. Makes no sense to me. WHY???
They likely had already processed payments for the both of you prior to your filing your 2019 return, using the data on file for 2018. Once the determination is made, adjustments can only be made by filing in 2021 on the 2020 tax return.
