If I enter the sale portion of my final K-1, my loss appears on both Schedule D and E. What am I doing wrong? This is a passive activity with carryover from 2017.

The screen asking for Sales price, selling expenses,basis of partnership, and the loss seems to trigger a Schedule D entry when the other K-1 info puts a similar loss, including passive loss carryover from 2017, onto Schedule E.  It is not a PTP.

On the k-1 entry section  for your k-1, list the purchase and sale amounts as zero.

I found and used this answer on the forum and it worked for me.
