I'm filing my taxes late. Will turbo tax know how much the IRS late penalty is?

No. TurboTax will not calculate your penalties or interest for filing past the deadline. The IRS will do that and will bill you after they receive your return and your payment. If you are getting a refund or do not owe, there is no penalty for missing the deadline.
