I deleted prior year's K-1 from Federal but the changes don't reflect on my state. Whenever I review State, it keeps telling me to input K-1 partnership name. Please help

Make sure the deleted the K-1 from your federal return the correct way. To delete the K-1, you also have to delete the triggers that cause it to reappear.

Go back into your federal return to delete the K-1 and its trigger.  Then Delete the K-1 from the state.

To delete the K-1 from your federal return, please follow these steps:

  1. Click on Federal > Wages & Income
  2. Under S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts click on the Update box next to Schedule K-1.
  3. On the Tell Us About Your Schedules K-1 screen, click on the Update box next to the type of K-1 you want to delete.
  4. On the Partnership [SCorp/Estate-Trust] Summary, click Delete next to the K-1 entered.
  5. Confirm the deletion on the next screen.
  6. You will be brought back to the Partnership [SCorp/Estate-Trust] Summary screen, click the Done box.

To check that the K-1 is deleted from your state return please follow these steps:
  1. While in your return, click on Tax Tools > Tools (in the black bar at the side of your screen).
  2. Under Other helpful links click on Delete a form. If the K-1 is in your state return, click Delete next to it and follow the onscreen instructions.
  3. Once you have finished deleting the desired form(s) click the Continue with My Return box (in the lower right of your screen).
