I filed it was sent n now they tell me they can't tell me anything that's over 4 grand they owe me

Who said they can’t tell anything?

If you filed your 2021 return and it was accepted by IRS, only they can tell you the status of your tax refund.

Have you checked the IRS site Where's My Refund?

You can also call IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and ask them to research your refund if Where’s My Refund? is not showing your refund or showing your return is still processing.

Stimulus

If you did not receive a third stimulus payment, that would be part of your 2021 refund — but only if you claimed the stimulus on your 2021 tax return.

If you left the Recovery Rebate Credit box blank (Form 1040, line 30), then file an amended return after you receive your original refund.
