Use TaxAct. It has instructions and allows for misc. adjustments. TurboTax online does not. They told me to try to desktop version, and then forms, but it would not work, and I wasted a lot of time and was transferred to a million people. Just switch to TaxAct and search Attorney Fees Unlawful Discrimination. It literally took me less than one minute.
In the desktop version of TurboTax, the attorney fees associated with actions involving unlawful discrimination suits (UDC) is entered on the Other Adjustments to Income Smart Worksheet on line K. It will be on the Form 1040 worksheet you will see near the top of the list of forms when you choose the Forms icon on your menu bar.
You can download your tax file from the online version of TurboTax by using the Tax Tools icon on your left menu bar in TurboTax, then choose Tools and then Save your 2021 return to your computer. That way you won't need to re-enter any information that is on your return in the online TurboTax.
You can purchase and download the desktop version of TurboTax by using this link:
Once you have TurboTax and your tax file downloaded on your computer, just run the program and it will prompt you to add your tax file and you are on your way! Next year, you can transfer your desktop tax file back to online if you desire.

I downloaded the product last summer and not one person at TT was able to help me from there. Sounds like they weren't in "forms," and no one found that instruction, but it's too late. Even before that, getting the download to work on a Mac was incredibly time consuming, and Tax Act took seconds.
