how do I change my business code?

To edit your business code, go to the Your Business Info screen:

Select Wages & Income from the left-hand menu.
Select Add/Edit next to "Self-employment income and expenses."
Click Edit on the "Your 2025 self-employment work summary" screen.
On the "Here’s your [business description] info" screen, click the pencil icon under Business summary to edit your code.
