Final 941 form but forget to mark it as final

Hi, I just filed my 941 for Q2 2022 and it was accepted. But then I found out that I forgot to mark it as final in Part 3 of the form 941 since I am closing my business now. How do I correct it? I have tried using 941-X but there is no field for me to indicate final. Thanks in advance!

You were supposed to submit a statement disclosing the name and address of the individual or firm responsible for keeping the payroll records.

You can probably simply file another 941 with the box checked and the requisite statement attached (print and mail) in addition to which you can include a line about failing to check the final box on the 941 you previously filed.

Thanks @Anonymous_ . So I can file another 941 for the same quarter by mailing it to IRS with the requisite statement attached since I've already e-file one for that quarter? And is it possible to e-file it? Thanks!

Yes, and you should most likely print and mail the 941 with the statement.
