I’m starting an affiliate marketing business so my profits are going to be commissions. The company I'll be working with requires that I to fill out Form W-9.
I'm in a multi member LLC operating in the state of Hawaii. On line 4 it asks if I'm an exempt payee. I read the instructions for Line 4, Exemptions, and I don't think I'm an exempt payee. Based off the info I gave (I'm in a multi member LLC operating in the state of Hawaii.), am I correct?

See page 3 of the instructions at https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw9.pdf for line 4 in the right column. A multi-member LLC/Partnership generally does not meet any of the exceptions listed there. For the state of Hawaii, if you do not have a state issued exemption certificate then your multi-member LLC/Partnership is not exempt.
