Exempt earnings that show in box 14 of my w2. Those earnings do not show in box 1. Turbo tax deducts box 14 from my earnings. How can that be correct?

Box 14 on your W-2 is basically a parking lot for many types of miscellaneous information the employer wants to report to you. Examples include uniforms, union dues and education assistance. There are many others. The amount reported in this box is not included in your wages reported in Box 1 and is not counted as taxable wages.
