I've been filing taxes using quicken H&B for a good while. I need to have a TCC code in order to submit a document to IRIS. If I've been filing electronically, does it mean I already have a TCC code stored in quicken? If so I couldn't find it. Does anyone know if it would be in there? My latest quicken H&B is 2021 at this point.
Thanks

I guess you mean Turbo Tax Home & Business, not Quicken. What is a TCC code? I've never heard of it. I don't think Turbo Tax has a code. Why wouldn't it match up to your return using your ssn? What document do you need to submit? Did you get a letter from the IRS for it?
OK I googled TTC code. It's for transmitting 1099 forms. Are you sending in 1099 forms you prepared to give to people you paid?
You can call support and ask them about it.

Yes that's the need.
Since I do already transmit my 1040 etc to IRS via ttax (and that's what I meant not quicken), I wondered if I might not have had to create a TCC code in the past, and had forgotten about it.
Thank you for responding!
So did you fill out any 1099NEC etc? Did you use the Online Quick Employer Forms? Or use the W2/1099 Reporter on your computer? If you need to mail the 1096 and 1099 forms to the IRS they do not have to match up with your personal tax return and schedule C. You still need to enter the total on your schedule C manually on line 11 Contract Labor.
I need to send out 1099NEC for a subcontractor. I don't think I've ever done that via ttax before. I'm looking for the quickest way to accomplish that. I won't be able to do my taxes via ttax 2022 for a while yet, would like to issue the 1099 soon if possible. IRS doesn't make it easy, the routes they provide all seem to fail.
