Do i need to delete a schedule c business from Turbo Tax if the business was no longer valid in 2016? we stopped the business at the end of 2015. Or leave it?

No. It does not keep you from filing your tax return with the IRS.

However, you can check a box on the Schedule C that states that the business has been sold or otherwise disposed of. I have included a screenshot of that screen below. You get there by going through the screens that you would normally enter you income and expenses for your business in Turbo Tax.
