Dividends as LLC business income

If I have a brokerage account for my LLC and I have assets that pay dividends, does this count as active revenue which I can deduct business expenses from or does it count as passive personal income?  Does it make a difference whether the dividend income is qualified from stock holdings or does it count towards qualified business income if the dividends come from REITS?

Thanks!

Dividends as LLC business income

REIT dividends are eligible for the QBI deduction.

Dividends (qualified or not) from stock holdings are portfolio income (not passive income); they are not active (business) revenue.
