In some cases the IRS is issuing Debit Cards. Here is more information on that: IRS Issues Debit Cards for Stimulus Payments
I think not getting our second stimulus check as something to do with filing our taxes through a third party vendor like TurboTax. I've talked to a lot of people and the ones who have all filed through a third party vendor did not receive their second stimulus check. Did TurboTax not send out the banking information in time to the IRS?
Check the IRS Get My Payment tool. The tool should tell you where your stimulus payment was deposited or mailed. The IRS has indicated there’s nothing you can do to change where they send your payment. No funds were sent to TurboTax.
Not all of the 2nd round of checks have been sent out though. The IRS will be sending out these payments during the month of January.
Millions of people, including many TurboTax customers, haven’t received their second stimulus payment due to an IRS error. We’re working directly with the IRS to get you your money within days. We will keep you updated, and we’ll stay on this until you get your money.
If your payment was delivered to a prepaid Turbo® Visa® Debit Card and you no longer have it, we’ll help you get a replacement card at no cost. You also have the option to close your account and receive your money as a check.
If you paid for TurboTax with your refund last year, we have given the IRS your correct account information and they are working to send your payment within days.
If you were entitled to a stimulus payment but did not receive one, and you didn’t pay for TurboTax with your refund last year, you may need to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2020 taxes to get your money.
Just got a email from TurboTax saying they are resolving the issue with the IRS to send out the payments and parents should start going out on January 8th. Let's see on the next couple of days and bring us! My fingers crossed
If you had your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund when you filed your tax return, then the IRS may have sent your stimulus check to the bank that processed your refund, which is different from your bank. If this happened, then TurboTax will have notified the IRS of your correct account information and they are working to send your payment within days.
Also, you can enter the payment on your tax return for 2020 if you don't receive it by the time you file your return, and it will be included with your refund.
