How do I set up a business on my TurboTax Deluxe for my 2019 taxes?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you are self-employed sole proprietor, or a single member LLC, you will file your business income and expenses on Schedule C of your personal return. Although you can report income on Schedule C in Deluxe or Premier, you will need Self-Employed (or Home & Business if using Desktop) to report income and expenses.
For more information on TurboTax Self-Employed go to: TurboTax Self-Employed
If your business is a partnership, a corporation, a multi-member LLC, or a single member LLC that has chosen to be taxed as an S-Corp, you will need to use TurboTax Business.
For more information on TurboTax Business go to: TurboTax Business
You only need the Self Employed version to report expenses in the Online version. You can enter self employment income and expenses in any Desktop program. All the Desktop programs have the same forms, you just get more help in the Home & Business version.
